Together with the rest of the world, HAS commemorates the human rights day which is globally observed today the 10th Dec.

Today the 2nd of November 2020, HAS joins the whole world in commemorating the international day to end Impunity for crimes against Journalists. HAS is concerned that impunity damages whole societies by covering up serious human rights abuses, corruption, and crime. Governments, civil society, the media, and everyone concerned to uphold the rule of law are asked to join in the global efforts to end impunity for crimes against journalists who play critical role in everyone's life by providing news and relevant information.

Some of the pictorials as our team in Lainya County faced challenges during the distribution of agricultural inputs to beneficiaries in Lokurubang payam.

Distribution of Agricultural inputs for the second planting season has commenced in Lainya County, Central Equatoria State. As part of the activities aligned to the Emergency Livelihood Response program funded by UNFAO, over two thousand beneficiaries will receive the agricultural inputs which include seeds, hoes among other farming tools.
HAS field team ensures COVID-19 preventive guidelines are observed during the distributions to prevent the beneficiaries from the risks of infection.

On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of south Sudan's Independence Day, HAS takes this opportunity to congratulate the entire nation on this historic day, and with the revitalized peace agreement gearing in the expected direction notably with the recent formation of the states governments with the exception of Jongolei and uppernile, hopes are high that the country will attain everlasting peace and Harmony.

South Sudan recorded new 28 cases of COVID-19 bringing the total of confirmed cases to 34. This was announced yesterday by the deputy chairperson of the High-Level Task Force on COVID-19 H.E Dr. Riek Machar through the national television channel SSBC.

Standard operation procedure (SOP) adapted by Humanity Aid Services in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic also known as coronavirus disease which is not yet confirmed in south Sudan.
Wash your hands often with soap every 30 minutes.
Avoid handshakes.
Do not touch your nose, mouth and eyes with unwashed hands.
You too can do that at your work place, homes and everywhere you go.
Together, lets fight coronvirus and prevent its spread to South sudan.

HAS Executive Director Mr.Thomas Muto applauded the effort of the staff in ensuring smooth flow of the organisation's activities. He reiterated HAS commitment in service delivery to the vulnerable communities in south sudan.
"The tools we launched today will help us track our individual performance and contribution towards achieving the objectives of the institution" Said Admin and Finance officer Mr. Kei Julius.
Eventually Mr. Moro Moses, Field Program manager, acknowledged the spirit of support from HAS staff in ensuring the tool is launched and effective for use.

In an effort to prevent the spread of the pandemic (Covid-19), the president of the Republic of South Sudan HE Salva Kiir has banned all social gatherings including sporting events, religious events weddings and political activities due to the coronavirus, according to media reports. The Ministry of Health and the World Health organisation WHO says South Sudan remains coronavirus free.WHO advises people to always keep respiratory hygiene.

Humanity Aid Service urges its members to take this serious and asks all South Sudanese not to panic and rather collaborate with the concerned bodies in preventing the spread of the virus to south sudan.

UNFAO'S Emergency and Livelihood Response Program Implementing partners conducted group discussions yesterday. The workshop organised by UNFAO is already in its second day.

United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation- UNFAO's Emergency and Livelihood Response Programme 2020 Partners and stakeholders' consultation workshop kicks off today 25-Feb-2020 at Juba Regency Hotel.
The workshop will continue up to date 27 February. Humanity Aid Service as one of UNFAO's implementing partners is taking part in the workshop.

Peace has returned to south Sudan, what next? Recovery and rehabilitation of the broken hearts, broken families, broken communities and the nation at large.
