Through the Community Awareness, Peace Building, and Community Engagement initiative, SYHRD is supporting these families by promoting understanding, unity, and resilience — helping them rebuild their lives with hope and dignity. 🌿

We stand with women, girls, and all survivors whose voices deserve protection, justice, and dignity.
Ending GBV is not a choice — it is our shared responsibility.

Women’s Community Awareness, Peace Building & Community Engagement
Iskaashi & Baydhabo Yarey IDP Camps – Mogadishu
At Somali Youth Human Rights and Development (SYHRD), we believe that women are key agents of peace and community transformation.
This initiative brings together women from Iskaashi and Baydhabo Yarey IDP Camps to promote dialogue, strengthen community ties, and advance peace through active participation and leadership.

We say NO to Gender-Based Violence! 💜
SYHRD organized an awareness session at Iskaashato Camp, Kahda District, bringing together 30-40 women to learn, share experiences, and unite against GBV.
The discussions focused on prevention, protection, and how women can support one another through solidarity and action.
Together, we continue to raise our voices for justice, equality, and a Somalia free from gender-based violence. ✊🏽
