GAFCD-SL currently operates within the Bombali Sebora chiefdom in the Bombali District of Sierra Leone as operations in Tonkolili were halted due to the Ebola epidemic. Holistically, GAFCD-SL intends to gradually spread to other chiefdoms in the Northern region and subsequently the whole of Sierra Leone. It is the primary focus of GAFCD-SL as organization to achieve the above initiative through local Advocacy and Empowerment programmes. Thereby undertaking such activities as Career Development Trainings or organizing career mentorship trainings, Health and Sanitation activities, and civic education and established a plat form to un-tap the potentials of girls within in and out of school and that are less privilege. GAFCD-SL aims to establish Youth Friendly Resource Centers in all our would-be operational chiefdom headquarter towns to provide peer counseling support.
