The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), in collaboration with the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Sports, has officially unveiled new Leone Stars Head Coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa at a well-attended press conference held at the New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Speaking at the event, SLFA President Babadi Kamara welcomed the new coach and expressed confidence in his ability to guide Leone Stars to greater success, noting the Association’s commitment to building a competitive national team.

NSA Executive Director Mohamed Alphaka Conteh Esq. reaffirmed government support for the national team and emphasized continued collaboration to strengthen football development in Sierra Leone.

Minister of Sports Augusta James-Teima also congratulated the new coach and assured him of the Ministry’s full support, stressing unity and teamwork ahead of upcoming competitions.

In his response, Coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa thanked the SLFA, government, and football fans for their trust, pledging dedication to building a strong and competitive Leone Stars team.
