CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO ALL KONSU GRADUANDS.
Dear KonSu Graduands,
I want to start by acknowledging the presence of God without whom nothing is possible. Thank you God for everything you've done for us since the start of this exciting but stressful journey.
To all our Heads of Departments, Deans Of Schools and all other lectures whose names are in our thoughts, I say thank you. For pushing us against the wall in order for us to be successful, I appreciate you. For making us study for the whole night just to answer two questionsπππ or three and so on, thank you. To my colleagues with whom I was able to cope with all these thin and tides, I say thank you for serving as a source of motivation to me. Seeing you guys carrying chairs for classes along with me, made me felt special and inspired. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Now, graduating is a big achievement under any circumstances. Some of us have had to overcome serious obstacles along the way, whether it was an illness, or a parent loosing a job, or living in a neighborhood where people too often count us out and or to the worst, loosing our parents, may their souls rest in perfect peace, we were still able to make it. Along with the usual challenges in every University, all of us have had to deal with the added pressures of missing grades, high-grade and reference exams, the late publication of results, being asked out of exams due to fees and the Covid-19 Emergence to name but a few, yet we were victorious .
And then, just as weβre about to celebrate having made it through, just as weβve been looking forward to promotions and the graduation ceremony, letβs face it with a whole bunch of parties. But what remains true is that our graduation marks our passage into adulthood, the time when we begin to take charge of our own life. Itβs when we get to decide whatβs important for us, the kind of career we want to pursue. Who we want to build a family with. The values we want to live by. And given the current state of the world, that may be kind of scary for us but we will surely triumph over all obstacles in the cooperate world just as we did in the City of the Universe (University).
Some of us had planned on going away from college, getting dropped off from course because of unforseen circumstances, that's no longer given because we have made it hence, we believed we can do it. This means that we are going to grow up faster than we ever thought of.
To our colleagues who we started this journey with but couldn't continue, some did come to the end point but were unable to finish the race with us, the truth is, we don't need to tell you what to do because you all have already started to lead. Our thoughts are with you and you're comrades and will always be.
Congratulations class of 2020, KonSU Bo Campus, Njala University on all that we have accomplished!
Remember the past, live in the present and look forward to the future.. Best of luck in the cooperate world. Thank you.
Regards: General A. Gbandeh
