Rockford Lhotka walked us through how to build an MCP server in C # and .NET — so your AI actually knows what it needs to know, when it needs to know it.

This is you. 🙌
Every question, every conversation, every moment of curiosity — that’s what makes DevSum more than a conference. So glad to share this day with all of you.

Day 2 kicked off with David Whitney and it was exactly the keynote this moment needed.
He didn’t sugarcoat it. It’s a tough time to be a developer. The noise is loud, the goalposts move daily, and the anxiety is real. He’s felt it too.
But his take? The developers who truly understand their craft are the ones who will navigate this best. Not because AI isn’t powerfu, but because AI is built on human code, written for humans, by humans.
The best developers won’t be replaced. They’ll be the ones who know how to use these tools well.
Thank you David Whitney for this great talk!

Day 2. Let’s go. 🙌
David Whitney takes the keynote stage at 09:00. If you were at the party last night, we’ll see you there (coffee in hand, probably).
Today’s lineup is packed. Highlights include:
→ Dave Platt on why software still sucks
→ Lemon with some honest advice for core web (very on brand after last night)
→ Simon Brown taking C4 beyond the basics
→ A closing panel on the current state and future of AI and development
..and a lot more across 6 tracks all day.

Great talks are one thing. But a room where everyone is curious, engaged and genuinely happy to be here? That’s what made Day 1 of DevSum 2026 special. Back for more tomorrow!

We didn’t expect DevSum to open with dancers. But honestly? Best git init we’ve ever seen. Sharp talks, sharper conversations, and a room full of people who genuinely love what they build. This is what developer community looks like.

Therese Alshammar took the stage this morning and reminded us that sustained performance isn't about one big moment. It's about the small, consistent things done every single day.
A few things that stuck with us:
→ The team behind you matters as much as the work in front of you
→ Consistency beats intensity, every time
→ The best organizations don't just tolerate failure — they build on it
→ Knowing your own motivation is what keeps you going when things get hard
In an industry moving as fast as tech, it's easy to chase speed and forget the fundamentals. Therese's career is proof that longevity comes from balance, trust, and the courage to keep showing up.
Thank you, Therese Alshammar, for an incredible opening keynote. 🏊
