First frost in my garden!

Today in southern Sweden when I parked my car.

End of the season in my garden. Lots of butterflies and important pollinators 👍 The building is from late 1700 and it is my office.

Outdoor theaters are great. CMS Design Associates created this proposal. If you have a slope already why not create something elegant and yet useful. It can be small and just 3 rows of seating or more. Children love to climb up and down the levels when the public is not present. The levels are not difficult to care for if done well from the beginning.

Time to plant spring bulbs!
If you have a garden or even a small balcony or a bit of lawn in front of your apartment building get permission and plant early spring bulbs. It will not only feed insects but also put a smile on your fellow mankind. The early flowering bulbs ensure that bees and other important insects are able to feed before our other native nectar sources are readily available.
We have a plummeting insect loss on our planet earth!

PLANT TREES!
When I lived in London our street had plane trees on both sides of the street.
They were over 100 years old and the canopies almost touch each other across the street. It was absolutely beautiful and made me feel happy every time I reach my street. The trunks have stunning bone white bark. The trees are not only divinely beautiful they are also tolerant and lessen the pollution.
They are often known in English as planes or plane trees. Some North American species are called sycamores especially Platanus occidentalis, although the term sycamore also refers to the fig Ficus sycomorus, the plant originally so named, and to the sycamore maple Acer pseudoplatanus. The genus name Platanus comes from Ancient Greek πλάτανος, which referred to Platanus orientalis.
Plane trees survives extended flooding and are highly drought tolerant. Some gardeners consider it a nuisance, since the big leaves do not decompose quickly. However, they are excellent additions to your compost pile. The photos show the same tree that lives in Ely in England and it was planted 1674!
