Dear Nuer,
I don’t mind being loathed for trying to inform you.
Hate me all you want, but I won’t stop reminding you of how stupid you look trying to use weapons to fight the system in 2026.
No matter how strong and brave you think you are, you CANNOT overthrow the government. This is because it’s invisible and invincible.
Actually, you are not brave but suicidal. If you were strong and brave enough, you would still be in Egypt today.
The reality is, you’re very slow when it comes to understanding realities on the ground.
When the Arabs and others came for our land centuries ago, the stupid ones confronted the enemy while the smartest among the Nilotic groups thought with their feet.
They felt that the enemy was invincible, and confronting it would be a waste of time and resources.
They walked away. One of the communities I am talking about is the Masai.
You were clearly among the stupid groups who remained behind to fight. And the current ethnic map of South Sudan.
Your present-day territories show that you came last. You finally ‘listened with your eyes’ after the Arabs and their collaborators nearly annihilated you.
With your stubbornness, you forcefully squeezed yourself into the Upper Nile, taking Shilluk and Dinka territories. That was then.
Unfortunately, you still hold the same ancient communal stupidity or inability to sense danger and quickly go into a self-preservation mode.
You continue to fight the government despite the fact that you cannot defeat it.
You’re annoyingly slow. One would think that your head is filled with cement, not that fatty white material called brain.
In other words, the other tribes are not stupid nor weak for choosing peace and going about their daily routines to survive.
Accepting peace is not a sign of weakness but a compromise for the sake of national peace and development.
In conclusion, sit tf down as a community and denounce the useless armed opposition and join the 63 tribes in their pursuit for justice through legal means.
Have a listening ear Saturday!
