Subject: Condolences on the Passing of Mama Agoot Ruk Deng

Dear Family of Kur Dengkeny,

On behalf of the Bor Development Alliance (BorDA), we extend our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time following the passing of Mama Agoot Ruk Deng which occurred yesterday on 22nd of August 2025. We recognize that she was not only a beloved mother-in-law to the chairman-elect of BCYA, Elijah Manyok Jok, but also a cherished matriarch who touched the lives of many.

In light of this profound loss, we recommend postponing the upcoming Thanksgiving occasion from August 24th to August 30th, 2025. We believe that during this period of mourning, the family should come together to honor the life and legacy of Mama Agoot, allowing space for reflection and healing.

Ustaz John Garang Ayii: The Silent Power Behind BorDA Teamโ€™s Victory in Bor Community Youth Association Elections

By Elijah Khot-Adhueng Pakeny Ajok Kuer (MC Ekaka)

Firstly, Congratulations to Elijah Manyok Jok, The elected Chairperson of BCYA-Juba,
In the recent Bor County Youth Association Elections, the BorDA team emerged victorious, an accomplishment that has stirred admiration and curiosity across the Country. While the victory might appear to be the result of active campaigning and visible leadership on the ground, including the great role played by the Campaign Manager Mr. Majok Makeer Malual, a deeper look reveals the significant, yet understated, influence of Ustaz John Garang Ayii who was the Deputy Campaign Manager and regarded in this publication as the "silent power" behind the successful campaign and victory.

A Strategic Visionary leader and Mentor

Ustaz John Garang Ayiiโ€™s role in the BorDA teamโ€™s triumph cannot be overstated. Known for his strategic thinking, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, Ustaz Gayii has historically been a guiding force behind many successful candidates in BCYA Elections since 2021. His deep understanding of local dynamics, networking and public relations, coupled with his experience in leadership development, made him an invaluable asset to the campaign team.

The Power of Influence and public relation

Although he maintained a relatively low profile during the election period, Ustaz Gayiiโ€™s influence was evident in the unity and motivation of the BorDA team. Many team members and supporters attribute their confidence and cohesion to his mentorship. His counsel on campaign strategies, community engagement, and youth mobilization helped shape a campaign that resonated with the aspirations of Bor Countyโ€™s youth. The fact that he comes from mighty Jalle payam, grew up in Baidit payam, having vast network of friends in Makuach and Anyidi Payams and being one of the most respected in-laws of Kolnyang Payam (Married from ChueeiKeer) have largely contributed to influencing majority of voters through this merits

A Legacy of Youth Leadership.

Ustaz Gayiiโ€™s role was primarily behind the scenes in coordinating efforts, providing wisdom, and ensuring that the team remained focused on their goals. His ability to rally support through quiet persuasion, combined with his reputation as a respected scholar and community leader, created a ripple effect that strengthened the teamโ€™s resolve and outreach.
Throughout his career, Ustaz John Garang Ayii has championed youth empowerment and community development. His involvement in education and capacity-building initiatives has left an indelible mark on many young leaders in Bor County. The recent electoral victory is seen by many as a continuation of his legacy, an affirmation that genuine leadership often manifests through mentorship and support, rather than loud public displays. He won with Bior Kuer 2021, Won with Akur Majeep, 2023 and finally in 2025 with Elijah Manyok. As much as I know that he soon transiting from the youth given his age, He will continue to inspire and mentor the youth leaders in Bor County, Jonglei State and South Sudan as a whole.

Conclusion
While the spotlight may have shone brightly on the elected leaders of the BorDA team, it is clear that Ustaz John Garang Ayiiโ€™s silent but strategic influence was instrumental in securing their victory. His role exemplifies how true leadership often resides in the quiet power of mentorship, wisdom, and unwavering support. As Bor County moves forward, the community can look to Ustaz Gayii as a testament to the impact of dedicated, behind-the-scenes leadership in shaping a brighter future for its youth.

I extend my warm regards to you all, the sons and daughters of the great Bor community, at this crucial moment in our political and social journey. As we reflect upon the recently concluded 2025โ€“2027 community elections, I take this opportunity to share a few words grounded in peace, reconciliation, and the pursuit of unity.

Elections are a powerful expression of our communal will. They serve not only as a mechanism for choosing leaders but also as a mirror that reflects the values, aspirations, and maturity of a people. Politics, at its best, can be a tool for building, but when handled carelessly, it becomes a force of division. Let us, therefore, remind ourselves that the true essence of politics is serviceโ€”not supremacy.

Congratulations to you, ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐——๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—”๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ (๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐——๐—”), for emerging victorious in the elections. The confidence the people have entrusted in your leadership is not a prize to celebrate in isolation, but a sacred mandate to carry the collective burden of the Bor community with dignity, fairness, and humility. Victory must be accompanied by wisdom, grace, and the discipline to serve allโ€”both supporters and critics alike.

As you now step into office, remember that the leadership you hold is a shared stewardship. Do not wear the crown of leadership as a symbol of dominance, but as a helmet of responsibility. Engage even those who did not vote for you, and prove through action that BorDA is a party for all Bor, not just for its supporters. The true victory will be measured not by the elections you won, but by the unity you build, the services you deliver, and the peace you maintain.

To the members and leadership of I salute your courage and participation. Though the results may not be what you hoped for, your role in the democratic process is no less important. Democracy is never complete without a competitive and credible opposition. You walked the path of vision, offered alternatives, and energized debateโ€”these are the very qualities that strengthen any political system.

You may not have won the seat, but you have won the hearts of many by standing firm in your beliefs. As you regroup, reflect, and restrategize, I urge you not to turn disappointment into disengagement or bitterness. Remain strong, constructive, and vigilant in ensuring that the community remains on the right path. The torch you carry is still alight. The road ahead is long, and the next opportunity is never far.

To you, the vibrant supporters of both political frontsโ€”your energy, passion, and commitment are the fuel that powered the elections. But let us be reminded that in every competition, there must be a winner and a loser. That reality should not divide us, but rather teach us humility in triumph and dignity in defeat.

Winning is not a license to insult, mock, or isolate others. Losing is not an invitation to despair, insult, or spread hatred. A mature community is known not by how it chooses leaders, but by how it embraces one another after the choice has been made. Whether ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐——๐—” or ๐—•๐—”4๐—–, we are one people with one heritage, one land, and one future.

I urge all supporters: Be celebrators of peace, not agitators of conflict. Let your loyalty to your party never supersede your loyalty to the unity and progress of

๐— ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ, our ancestors built this land with unity, not division. They survived floods, wars, and famines by standing togetherโ€”not by creating factions. Today, the tools may have changed, but the spirit of unity must remain the same.

Let us not reduce ourselves to be enemies over political differences. A party is "๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜†"; a community is "๐—™๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ". The boundaries of our hearts must be wider than the boundaries of our political affiliations. Our cattle camps, churches, schools, and funeral gatherings must remain neutral zonesโ€”places where Bor identity supersedes all else.

Let every youth, every elder, every chief, every intellectual, and every woman understand: If Bor fails, no party will succeed. But if Bor prospers, all parties will find purpose. The success of this community depends on us defending each other, forgiving one another, and focusing more on what unites us than what separates us.

This final word is directed to those among us who may seek to exploit our political differences for selfish reasonsโ€”to sow discord, spread falsehoods, incite revenge, or benefit personally from division.

I say to you: history is watching. The children of this land are watching. The very soil of Bor, soaked with the sweat and blood of our forefathers, is watching. No gain you acquire by dividing the community will ever bring lasting joy. No seat you win by sabotaging peace will ever give you respect. The truth is simple: ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฒ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ, ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ธ๐—ผ๐—ฐ ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ.

If your politics cannot elevate, it is not worth pursuing. If your ambition cannot unify, it is not worthy of the people. You may succeed in misleading a few, but you will not escape the judgment of time. Remember this always: those who tear communities apart for personal glory are never remembered as heroes, but as warnings.

Let us move forward not as adversaries, but as brothers and sisters. Let us debate with reason, not rage. Let us build platforms of ideas, not altars of hate. Whether you wear the colors of ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐——๐—” or ๐—•๐—”4๐—–, your first and foremost identity is ๐—•๐—ข๐—ฅ.

As the Dinka saying goes, โ€œ๐—”๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—บ๐—ถ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฎ๐—ถ"_ โ€œThe mouth of a community speaks louder than the voice of one man.โ€

May we all work for a better Bor, where politics is about service, leadership is about humility, and community is about love.

Subject: Call for Calm Amidst Controversy Over the APT Center for Celebration with BA4C.

Dear Members,

In recent days, discussions about the APT Center for Celebration with BA4C have sparked significant controversy and debate within our community. As concerns and opinions continue to arise, it is crucial that we approach these issues with sensitivity and composure, fostering an environment where constructive dialogue can flourish.

First and foremost, we need to recognize the diverse perspectives that exist regarding the APT Center. While some people celebrate its risk associated with the clash of both parties to the business, we must uphold cohesively unto another without any prejudice. Just to clearly make known that my chairman has not uttered any demeanour to the opponent had his victory's speech not been taken out of the context. However, if this has caused any inconvenience, let us forget as we move forward for the betterment of our community.

Therefore, amid these differing opinions, any misconstrued fact and frustrations can lead to divisiveness within our community. However, it is essential that we focus on building bridges rather than walls. We encourage all stakeholders including community members, local leaders, and young people to engage in open, fact-based discussions. By doing so, we can work towards finding common ground and addressing the concerns at hand facing our community.

It is also vital to remind ourselves of the values we uphold as a community. Principles such as empathy, respect, and collaboration should guide our conversations moving forward.

In conclusion, while the controversy surrounding the APT Center for Celebration with BA4C may evoke strong emotions, we have called for calm and thoughtful engagement thus shifting our celebration to Medan Tiger.

Together, let us ensure that our community remains united in its pursuit of peace and progress.

Kind Regards,
Mike Buol
