Necrovalley ~ 3D shadowbox, Yu-Gi-Oh!

Still no new stuff, sorry about that 😅 Hope you’re not tired of my Necrovalley, so here are some still shots of it! The card was a bit difficult to find good angles for, but I hope you enjoy them.

Dark Paladin ~ 3D shadowbox, Yu-Gi-Oh!

Some still shots of my Dark Paladin shadowbox. This was one of the cards where I started to experiment more with photography in order to get some shots with better contrast. I feel like the shadows greatly improve the depth feeling, and help with showcasing the 3D aspect of these cards.

Illidan Stormrage ~ 3D shadowbox, Hearthstone

Still shots of Illidan. This one was a lot of fun and a culmination of my experience with Heartstone cards. I loved working on it, because Illidan is one of my favorite characters of all time, and this artwork is extremely cool.

It was also definitely a “trust the process” work, as I was undecided if I should add the glow in the dark elements, or skip that to avoid ruining the artwork. Hopefully the bet paid off!

Mewtwo ~ 3D shadowbox, Pokémon

Some still shots of the Japanese Mewtwo shadowbox I made a while ago. This was not a commission, but rather a fun card I wanted to bring to life in 3D.

I created some resin crystals in order to build up the glass shards from the artwork and I really like how they came out! I had a blast working out the perspective in this card, as it’s such an unique view point.

Garurumon ~ 3D shadowbox, Digimon

The second Digimon 3D card I’ve ever made as a shadowbox - the perspective in this one was so dynamic I could not resist diving into this project. The Digimon card frame also allowed for some really interesting work, especially the black text box, which I printed on transparent plastic.

This is part of my ongoing series of collecting works from other artists. This shadowbox is coming all the way from Japan 🇯🇵 and it’s the first Duel Masters 3D card in my collection. I really like how Keronta made the perspective and details so dynamic. Go and check out his other works!
