To log in to our APEX applications a username and password are no longer sufficient. So what are the options? One is social sign-in, using Google or even Jira or LinkedIn. During the conference ConTech by RoOUG 2025, this year we will offer the opportunity for participants to experience hands-on workshops on several technologies.

One of the workshops is dedicated to Oracle APEX and is delivered by Jan Květina.

APEX Deployment Tool can significantly improve deployment efficiency, reduce errors, and facilitate robust version control - ultimately accelerating your Oracle development lifecycle. Participants will setup the tool and try basic operations so they will be able to use it later on their own project.

During the conference ConTech by RoOUG 2025, this year we will offer the opportunity for participants to experience hands-on workshops on several technologies.

One of the workshops is on MYSQL an REST Services API and is presented by Frederic Descamps.

Using MySQL Shell and the REST Service, participants will learn how to:
- Expose MySQL tables, views, and procedures as RESTful endpoints
- Perform CRUD operations and query data using standard HTTP verbs
- Integrate MySQL seamlessly with web, mobile, and serverless applications
- Secure endpoints with authentication, roles, and fine-grained access control
- Automate REST configuration and deployment using MySQL Shell scripting

Attendees will use their own laptops to complete guided labs, building a SQL-free application from scratch and experiencing firsthand how the REST Service transforms MySQL into a native data API platform.
