This week, we inaugurated the new in-flight catering facility of Tamam, part of the EL AL Group - one of the most advanced facilities in the world and the largest of its kind in kosher airline catering.

The new facility, nearly twice the size of the previous one, will enable the production of up to approximately 50,000 meals per day, almost double the previous production capacity.

We continue to invest in enhancing the travel experience, with the understanding that every detail is part of the overall journey. The new facility will allow us to expand the variety of meals served onboard, further improve product quality, and elevate the culinary standard for EL AL passengers.

The transition to full operations at the new facility will take place gradually over the coming months.

Behind every meal served onboard are dedicated people, advanced technologies, and careful attention to the smallest details - all to continue providing a thoughtful and high-quality service experience at 30,000 feet.

Not actors.
The people featured in our commercials are real members of our cabin and flight crew.

They’re the ones who welcome you before takeoff, care for you at 30,000 feet, and help bring you home.
Each with their own story, dreams, favorite destinations, and a genuine passion for what they do.

Meet some of them:

Sharon Levy, 56, Boeing 787/777 Captain for the past 26 years.
From a young age, he knew he wanted to fly. He loves the variety that comes with the profession, the people he meets along the way, and what he calls “the office with the most beautiful view in the world.” His favorite destination is Los Angeles.

Eldad Golub, 34, Senior Flight Attendant for the past 5 years.
His connection with people and his desire to turn every flight into a memorable experience are what led him to the profession. For him, service and attention to detail are part of a daily mission. His favorite destination is Tokyo.

Yaara Sobol, 23, Flight Attendant for the past year and a half.
Her dream of becoming a flight attendant began in childhood, inspired by her older sister. Beyond flying, she also creates lifestyle and travel content. Her favorite destination is New York.

Eran Carasso, 53, Senior Flight Attendant for the past 3.5 years.
For him, the job is first and foremost about human connection. He loves meeting new people, helping others, and being there for passengers throughout their journey. Between flights, he is also involved in educational work with Yad Vashem and leads educational trips to Poland. His favorite destination is Boston.

Dana, 24, Flight Attendant for the past two and a half years.
She entered the world of aviation thanks to friends who were already working at the company, and quickly fell in love with the profession herself. Her favorite destination is New York.

After more than a decade, we are returning to South America and launching a non-stop flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

We will operate two weekly flights using our new and advanced Dreamliner aircraft, featuring three classes of service - Economy, Premium, and Business. Flight duration is expected to be approximately 16.5 hours outbound from Israel and 15.5 hours on the return. Ticket sales for this route are expected to open during the month of May.

Through our codeshare partner Aerolíneas Argentinas, as well as additional partnerships, we will offer onward flights to gateways across the continent from Buenos Aires, alongside connections to other destinations in South America via a variety of European gateways.

This is a significant step in strengthening the connection between Israel and South America, particularly with the Jewish community in Argentina, which is the fifth largest in the world and currently the largest without direct flights to Israel.

Following the Ministry of Transportation’s announcement regarding a significant reduction in the number of passengers departing Israel, as well as a reduction in takeoffs and landings, EL AL is currently examining the full operational and safety implications of the new framework.

The airline is working to define a reduced operational structure that will enable the continuation of essential activity to maintain the air bridge to and from Israel. EL AL will provide updates throughout the day regarding how it will operate. As always, EL AL will do everything required, within the existing limitations, to remain the air bridge for Israelis in Israel and around the world.

At the same time, EL AL calls for the opening of Ramon Airport as a complementary alternative to Ben-Gurion Airport, in order to maintain aviation activity and support the needs of the traveling public.
