Obsessed with sound, always chasing that perfect punch and vibe.
I finally did it. I moved my entire mixing and mastering workflow over to LUNA and… I’m not going back. ✌️
I love Ableton for production, but for mixing? I needed that analog soul. Switching from a "grid" mindset to a "console" mindset changed everything for me. It’s smoother on my CPU (even on my budget PC setup!), the sidechaining actually makes sense, and using my UAD plugins alongside the Kirchhoff EQ just feels right.
If you’re tired of your mixes sounding too "digital," you seriously need to try this.
Question for the comments: What DAW are you mixing in right now?

Those piercing “S” sounds in your vocal mix? That’s sibilance. It happens when condenser mics, EQ boosts, and compression exaggerate the high frequencies. The fix is simple: De-Essing. A de-esser compresses only the sibilant range (2–10kHz), leaving the rest of the vocal untouched. Software plugins today are way more precise than old-school hardware, giving you total control.
Compression isn't just a tool, it's the DNA of modern sound. 🎛️ I've explained everything that matters: threshold, ratio, attack, release, knee, make-up gain, and sidechain. If you understand this, you're already one step ahead of the majority. 🔥
Next episode: types of compressors and when to use them. Stay tuned!
Your mix doesn’t sound weak because of EQ. It doesn’t sound flat because of reverb. The real reason? You’re ignoring dynamics. Compression, limiting, gating, transient design, these are the 4 weapons that decide if your mix HITS or gets ignored. In this series, I’ll break down each one so your tracks can finally compete with the pros. Don’t sleep on this. 🚀
