Babuschka Mermaid Baby: One of our first wearable art creations was born somewhere between waking and dreaming — in that half-sleepy, half-awake state of imagining a new golden child before his face was even clear.

In the womb of imagination, the baby kept transforming: a little fish, a cat, a mermaid, a creature, a dream… until slowly, almost magically, he began to take shape as the Golden Son.

This evolution became a wearable sculpture: a scalloped, pink, puffy, layered swaddle — soft, padded and cocoon-like, wrapping the imagined baby in a world of tenderness and possibility.

Babuschka Mermaid Baby is the creature before the creature becomes a child. The dream before the face. The womb before the birth.

Abodváry Lille, the famous fairy, summoned the black castle from nothing. Magical rays appeared over the mountain, and suddenly, a black castle emerged from the darkness, its red glass windows glowing like cat eyes.

Lille could create houses and castles simply by speaking magical words — but at this time, she still didn’t know what she had summoned. Her cat, Minna, already knew. She could sense that this castle had a very special inhabitant…Guess who…

And a little challenge for you: which dress’s texture was collaged onto Lille’s dress? This illustration was inspired by the Hungarian folk tale Vár és forrás (“The Castle and the Spring”).
