In conjunction with World Environment Day 2026, the Central Environment Authority is organizing a special Electronic Waste Management program. We encourage all citizens to act responsibly and dispose of their accumulated household e-waste correctly to protect our environment.

⚠️ Important Notice Regarding Acceptable Items:
Please note that the collection center **cannot** accept items that have already been stripped of their components or consist only of plastic casings. Items such as CFL bulbs, tube lights, and CRT monitors/televisions are accepted as part of the collection program.

🇱🇰🤝🇸🇦 Sri Lanka Introduces FREE Tourist Visa (ETA) Facility for Saudi Nationals

The Government of Sri Lanka has officially announced a Free 30-Day Tourist Visa (ETA) facility for citizens of Saudi Arabia visiting Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. 🌴✈️

📅 Effective from: 25 May 2026

Saudi nationals are advised to obtain the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to arrival through the official Sri Lanka ETA portal.

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajwad, stated that this initiative will further strengthen tourism ties and encourage more Saudi visitors to explore Sri Lanka. 🌍✨

Sri Lanka has lost a respected diplomat and public servant, Al Haj Y.L.M. Zawahir (Former Ambassador), who passed away at his residence in Paragahadeniya early this morning. 🇱🇰

He also served the country through the National Police Commission and Sri Lanka’s diplomatic service abroad. 🌍

📍 Janaza will take place today (23.05.2026) after Isha prayers at Paragahadeniya Jamiuth Thowheed Jumma Masjid Burial Grounds, In Sha Allah.🤲
