Do you know, what is K, R and U value for PU Sandwich Panel in Building and Construction Industry?

Thermal Conductivity (K Value): It is the property of a material to conduct heat. It can be defined as “Amount of heat flow in Watts (in stationary condition) through 1m2 area and thickness 1 m and a temp difference 1 degree Kelvin. Unit is Watts per meter Kelvin (W/mK). It is a constant value for a particular material.
K value for PU foam = 0.023 W/mk

Thermal Resistance(R Value): R value is a common term denotes the thermal insulation effect in building and construction industry. It is calculated by dividing the thickness of insulation (T in meter) by thermal conductivity value
R = T/K-Value
Unit is (m²·K)/W

Thermal transmittance (U-value): is the rate of transfer of heat (in watts) through one square meter of a structure divided by the difference in temperature across the structure.
U-value can be calculated from U = 1/R for a given construction, and is generally represented in W/(m2.K).

New Delhi
Qatar and India signed six agreements, including on transfer of sentenced prisoners, as HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on energy, investment and people-to-people ties yesterday.
HH the Emir, who is in New Delhi on a two-day state visit, was accorded a ceremonial reception in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan (presidential palace) in the morning.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on the Emir, after which he held talks with Modi at Hyderabad House.
Besides bilateral ties, the discussion between the two sides focused on the latest developments in the Middle East region.
Qatar, the largest source of India’s LNG imports at 86%, is keen on boosting energy ties.
Bilateral trade stands at $16bn, heavily weighted in favour of Qatar due to the LNG imports.
Qatar has expressed interest in Modi’s “Make in India” initiative. India is also seeking to invest in major infrastructure projects in Qatar which is hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
The six agreements, besides transfer of sentenced prisoners, were: an MoU for co-operation in information and communication technology, an MoU between the ministry of earth sciences and Qatar Meteorological Department for scientific and technical co-operation, an MoU between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the Foreign Service Institute of India’s external affairs ministry, an MoU for co-operation in the field of radio and television and an agreement for mutual co-operation and exchange of news.
Indian External affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted: “India-Qatar discuss energy, investment & people to people ties. 6 agreements signed.”
Under the agreement on transfer of sentenced prisoners, Indian prisoners convicted in Qatar can be brought to India to serve the remaining part of their sentence.
Similarly, Qatari citizens convicted in India can be sent to their home country to serve their sentence.
This agreement would enable the sentenced people to be near their families and would help in their social rehabilitation, said an official statement.
The Emir is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, senior officials and captains of industry. He arrived in Delhi on Tuesday night from Colombo. He was earlier in Islamabad.
HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani had visited India thrice - in 1999, 2005 and 2012. India’s then prime minister Manmohan Singh had visited Qatar in November 2008.
Around 600,000 Indian nationals work in Qatar, comprising the largest expatriate community in the country.
Earlier in an interview with the Times of India newspaper, HH the Emir said: “We trust the Indian economy. We’ll invest in India. We’re looking at infrastructure investments.”
The Emir left India yesterday evening, ending an Asian tour that included Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
