working at Private Clinics and the retired nurses; and the 2025 Walk for Health and World Health Assembly for Taiwan held on 9th of May 2025🇵🇼🇹🇼🇺🇳; including celebrating in spirit the current Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week starting 18-24 May 2025! ❤️🇵🇼

Starting from Ernguul Park with Koror, Sonsorol and Hatohobei States; Koksai with Dmakeiukl - Aimeliik, Ngatpang, Ngardmau and Ngeremlengui States; KB Bridge Airai side with Airai and Ngarchelong States; Palau Seaview Hotel with Melekeok State; Labek with Ngiwal State; Karmaliang Old Age Center with Ngchesar State; and Kuabes with Ngaraard State; while donated cake to Peleliu State and cases of soda and water to Kayangel State. Many thanks to Kayangel State Senior Citizens for donating 300lbs of fish from their fishing derby event to Belau National Hospital.🇵🇼🇵🇼🫡🫡❤️❤️

Today, Vice President Oilouch met with the planning team from the Pacific Community (SPC) led by Ms. Rhonda Robinson, Director of the Geoscience, Energy and Maritime (GEM) Division, to sign the BSRP II Grant Agreement and an introductory meeting between Palau, represented by Office of the Vice President (OVP) and National Emergency Management Office (NEMO), and SPC to discuss the planning of the regional Ministerial Meeting to be hosted by Palau this November 2025. 🇵🇼🇫🇯🇦🇺🇨🇰🇫🇲🇬🇺🇲🇵🇵🇫🇰🇮🇲🇭🇳🇷🇳🇿🇳🇺🇵🇬🇸🇧🇼🇸🇹🇻🇹🇻🇼🇫🇳🇨🇹🇰🇻🇺

Monday, 07 April 2025 - met with Delegation from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and toured the Belau National Hospital (BNH). Vice President and Minister Oilouch reiterated the appreciation of the people and Government of Republic of Palau for the continued positive dialogue with the U.S. Government regarding the COFA and the U.S. Federal Funding Grants that are helping BNH. Moreover, also reiterated that he trust that the GAO accurately captures in its report the accomplished, ongoing and in the pipeline the priority needs of BNH to improve capacity, infrastructures, equipment, services and medical care/trearment including the willingness of MHHS to further dialogue and cooperation to provide any further specific information that both current U.S. Administration and Congress may need and mandated the GAO to gather from MHHS and report to them accordingly.🇵🇼🇺🇸

Today, Australian Ambassador Richelle Turner paid a farewell courtesy visit to Vice President Oilouch. Ambassador Turner is ending her tour of duty and visited Vice President Oilouch where both reminisced the humbling beginnings of establishing the Australian Embassy in Palau and the Ambassador recalling that Vice President Oilouch was the first Palauan and Government Official that she had met at the beginning of her tour of duty five years ago in Perth, Western Australia. The Vice President thanked Ambassador Turner for her excellent work with Palau Government, its officials over the years and wished her bon voyage and all the best in her future endeavors 🇵🇼🇦🇺. Following, newly accredited non- resident Ambassador Ms. Barbara Plinkert of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Pacific paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Oilouch to brief on main areas of cooperation between the EU, Palau and regional Pacific under the current Seven Year Funding Cycle (2021-2027) focusing on regional programs covering climate change; economic development; human development; and now a new recent program on private sector development. Vice President Oilouch acknowledged the EU support over the years to Palau paying specific mentions of E.U. support to the National Emergency French Management Office (NEMO) that proudly displays in a plague the EU flag on its premises. The Bicentennial President highly recommended to the Ambassador that EU support extend to the regional health sector development and be considered by EU during its deliberations on the next Seven Year Funding Cycle (2028-2034).🇵🇼🇪🇺

February 26, 2025 - Courtesy Visit by Ms Ching ling Yao, Magistrate of Taitung County of Taiwan, leading a 6-member delegation visiting Palau. The purpose of the visit is to enhance the exchange of the Austronesian culture, as well as to discuss the “Yami (Tao) Fishing Boat” project (traditional Palauan boat sailing to Taiwan).🇵🇼🇹🇼
