Supporting Gender Equality in Palau

The Palau Chamber of Commerce was honored to attend the launch of the Palau Gender Equality Country Plan, hosted by the Australian Embassy, Pacific Women Lead Enabling Services, and the Ministry of Health and Human Services at Palau Royal Resort.

This important event was followed by a workshop where we explored actionable steps toward promoting gender equality and empowering women in our community. It was an inspiring and insightful gathering, highlighting the collective commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable future for Palau.

We are proud to be part of this significant initiative and look forward to contributing to the positive changes it will bring. A big thank you to the organizers for their leadership and dedication to this vital cause.

Exciting Partnership for a Greener Palau!

The Palau Chamber of Commerce had a meeting with ATGREEN Co. from Japan for a promising collaboration with Koror State to introduce biomass boilers that produce sustainable diesel fuel. This initiative is set to support industrial laundry equipment (such as those used in hotels) and other diesel-reliant equipment, all while reducing our carbon footprint!

ATGREEN is exploring locations to house these boilers and for storage, and they are eager to understand the needs of local businesses to ensure this project benefits our community.

This eco-friendly diesel will be produced by converting plastics and natural waste—such as fallen leaves and old wood—into clean energy, helping us take a big step towards sustainability in Palau.

Thank you to ATGREEN and Koror State for leading the way in sustainable solutions. Let’s work together to create a greener future for Palau!
