Palau Pets Plus

Panda came to us for training because he and his sister don't like to listen while at home and while being walked on leash around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there are a lot of irresponsible dog owners in the neighborhood that allow their dogs to roam. These dogs approach Panda and his owner in a threatening manner, which puts Panda in a defensive mode and he's even harder to control.
To fix the problem with Panda, we put him through our Basic Obedience program along with proper and humane e-collar training. Panda did extremely well and now walks with his owner are a lot easier and enjoyable. Next, we will train his sister.

Archer is back while his parents are off having adventures on the sea! It always feels good when clients keep up with the training. Archer is very well behaved. You can't even tell he is deaf. He responds very well to sign language and the e-collar. We're very proud of the whole family 🤎
And then we have Dobby... Dobby was abandoned by his family and saved from getting run over by one of Palau's very own prominent attorneys who sent him to us to care for until he is big enough to "run with the big dogs" on the farm. He is a joy to have and just wants to give kisses to everyone he meets with his big puppy belly self ❤️❤️❤️

This is Ora (short for Orakiru). She is a 5 year old Palauan Moon Dog that was very set in her ways, but needed basic obedience so that her family would be able to enjoy her. She had a tendency to rush through doorways and her owner did not like that. One of the standard trainings in our obedience training is manners so she definitely came to the right place 😁
Watch how she focuses on me when in the doorway. That's what you want and that's what we got 💪🏽. She did great! 🇵🇼🐾

Most of our stray Palauan Moon Dogs are all bark and no bite when it comes to humans. Other animals, however, are not so lucky and will often be attacked by these stray dogs. That is what happened to poor little Archer.

A couple heard Archer and his sibling with their stray mom, being attached by a pack of dogs. Archer's sibling was killed, but the couple was able to save Archer and take him to Dr. Kristen at Osebelel a Charm Animal Care and Learning Center. Archer was in shock, with serious internal injuries, lung injuries, blood coming from his nose. It did not look good for him and he wasn't expected to live either, but he did! 🇵🇼🐾💪🏼
After his surgery, he needed a lot of supportive care- heat support, IV fluids, pain medicine, and a lot of TLC.
Most of his injuries resolved. He had facial nerve injuries that eventually healed, but the attack left him completely remained deaf.
The couple that originally rescued Archer, decided to keep him and care for him. They realized that they would need help raising with a deaf dog and wanted to be responsible per owners so they came to Palau Pets Plus for training. With over 30 years of experience with animal training, people training, training animals for people with disabilities, and training animals with disabilities themselves, we were confident that we could help Archer and his family ❤️
Let's wish Archer luck as he will need more training to stay safe and have the best quality of life possible.. Let's also thank his parents for adopting him and giving him the best care.
