Palau National Communications Corporation PNCC. Connecting Palau to the World since 1982.
Belau Submarine Cable Corporation (BSCC) announces the urgent need for emergency repairs on the SEA-US cable, which connects Palau to international networks. The repair work will require powering down the cable from July 18th to July 22nd in Guam. The damage to the cable is believed to be a result of the recent typhoon.
During this maintenance period, Palau will experience limited internet connectivity. The PNCC satellite connection will be the only available option, albeit with limited capacity. Essential services will be prioritized, while the general public and most businesses may encounter disruptions in internet service. However, voice and text services will remain operational for both mobile and fixed-line connections.
BSCC is committed to ensuring that the repair work does not compromise the integrity of our BSCC PC1 network. We will work diligently to restore full service in Palau as soon as the SEA-US cable is operational again. Throughout the repair process, we will maintain regular communication and provide updates to emergency authorities.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause, and we apologize for any disruption or inconvenience it may create. Our team is fully dedicated to expediting the repair process and minimizing the impact on our valued customers.
