Last GEF6 Partnership Meeting
The adventure is coming to an end! We held our last GEF6 Partnership meeting.
It has been a ride, and we are so thankful for your partnership, friendship, assistance, and love.
We believe that our communities and our environment are stronger because of our collective efforts.

The Palau Conservation Consortium is pleased to extend an invitation to the public to attend the 4th National Environment Symposium, themed “Blending Tradition with Innovation for a Sustainable Palau”. This event will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ngarachemayong Cultural Center.
The symposium aims to bring together diverse perspectives and expertise to achieve sustainable practices that integrate traditional knowledge with innovative solutions. It will feature interactive discussions, informative presentations, and opportunities for collaboration and networking.
We urge all concerned citizens, stakeholders, community leaders, and organizations to join and contribute to the discussions on environmental conservation and sustainability. Your presence and participation are vital as we strive to shape a sustainable future for Palau.
In an effort to minimize the use of plastic waste, the Palau Conservation Consortium encourages attendees to bring their own reusable water bottles. This small action contributes to our sustainability goals and demonstrates our commitment to protecting Palau’s natural beauty.
Let’s pave the way for a greener and healthier Palau! 🇵🇼

Stewardship encompasses more than conservation, protection, preservation, and restoration. It involves fostering creativity and innovation that supports sustainable livelihoods. As islanders, we have a unique connection to our environment, and it is imperative that we balance our love for our homeland with sustainable practices that allow us to thrive.
The DOUREOR Project emphasizes that while entrepreneurial skills cannot be directly taught, the foundational values and essential tools can be shared. Those who embrace these values and tools can develop their startups or enhance their micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within Palau, integrating both traditional and innovative practices.
We have successfully conducted workshops across all 15 states, and now we are excited to conclude with a workshop in Koror State. This final workshop is complimentary for residents who register with the Koror State Governor’s office this week. Please contact the KSG State and Cultural Affairs at (680) 488-3133 to secure your spot.
The final DOUREOR workshop, specifically for the citizens of Oreor, aims to empower individuals to develop their startups or improve their MSMEs within Koror and its surrounding waters. Please see the attached flyer for further details on the workshop, which will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the KSG Constitution Hall.
