The 12th Pacific Mini Games will be held in Koror, Palau from June 29 to July 9, 2025.

Only those athletes who achieve the qualifying times in the events set out below are eligible for consideration to attend the Games.

2025 PACIFIC MINI GAMES
The 2025 Pacific Mini Games will be held in Koror, Palau from 29 June - 9 July, 2025.

Australia will send up to 20 athletes in specified events from the cohort born in the years 2006-2009.

Note that this is a self funded team. Athletes are responsible for all costs including, but not limited to travel, accommodation and team uniform.

Nomination Window - All athletes must nominate using a link which will be available at right before the nomination deadline, (Date TBC). Late nominations may not be accepted.

COMPETITION VENUE
The athletics venue for this competition will be the Palau National Stadium - Koror, Palau.

After the successful debut sweep of gold by the NMI National Wrestling Team in the 10th Micronesian Games at the Marshall Islands, their sights are now set for the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau.

The Mini Games have been hosted by 9 different Pacific Island capitals around 4 countries and 5 territories. Only the Cook Islands and Vanuatu have hosted twice, with Palau set to host the event for the second time in 2025. Similarly to the main Games, athletes with a disability are included as full members of their national teams. In each sporting event, gold medals are awarded for first place, silver medals are awarded for second place, and bronze medals are awarded for third place.
Unlike the main Games, there is equal dominance from Pacific Games associations (PGA's). Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, and Fiji have all ranked first a record 3 times each with Samoa and Nauru topping a games once.

PALAU 2025 PACIFIC MINI GAMES COMING UP‼️

Many sport events are coming up, and one of them Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) is also gearing up with its services to support sport federations in their preparations for is the 'Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games'.

The sports on offer for the 2025 Pacific Mini Games that SINIS will be assisting in their preparations are ‘Athletics, Archery, Swimming, Basketball 3x3, Beach and Indoor Volleyball, Judo, Canoe, Table Tennis, Triathlon, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Tennis and Weightlifting’.

SINIS Executive Director Aaron Alsop said to ensure preparations get underway with athletes and coaches of the sports confirmed for the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games, the High Performance Centre will reach out to key partners to align strategies to the goals for the performances of the teams.

“Having built a strong foundation in our High Performance system over the past few years, we see a great opportunity to leverage from all the momentum from the 2023 Pacific Games,” said Alsop.

“To ensure preparations get underway with the athletes and coaches of the sports confirmed for the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games, we will be reaching out to key partners including the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands [NOCSI] and the National Federations to align our strategies to the goals for the performances of the team. With the new benchmark and standards in place for what elite sport looks like in Solomon Islands, we believe that we can continue to upward trend for the country on the international sporting stage.”

The Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games will be held on June 29 to July 9.
