The Republic of Palau Ministry of Health and Human Services (MHHS) has resumed normal operations at the Belau National Hospital following the cyber-attack incident on February 17, 2025. The public is advised that some delay may be experienced as we return to full operational status.
An investigation on whether any patient data was accessed by the attackers is ongoing and more information will be announced as necessary.
We thank the public for their patience and support.

The Republic of Palau Ministry of Health and Human Services (MHHS) continues to experience IT service degradation at the Belau National Hospital resulting from yesterday’s cyber-attack. The IT team worked through the night in response to the incident.
The team at the Belau National Hospital is ensuring services to the community continue.
We remind patients who need a medication refill, to please bring the pill container indicating number of remaining refills and/or your current prescription.
We also are asking the public for support as staff work to implement mitigation measures. We will continue to provide updates to the public as they become available.

Yes, is curable!
Tuberculosis is treated with antibiotics. To be effective, these medications need to be taken daily for 4–6 months.
⚠️ It is dangerous to stop the medications early or without medical advice. It can lead to drug-resistant tuberculosis.
