Palau Bureau of Tourism
Regulatory Agency for Tourism in the Republic of Palau

Dear Tour Operators,
We invite you to an important meeting to be held on March 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Civic Center in Koror. This session is convened in collaboration with the Koror State Government, the Palau Visitors Authority, and the Bureau of Tourism.
The focal point of our discussion will be a review of the current laws and regulations that govern the tourism industry in Palau. As frontliners in our tourism sector, your insights and experiences are invaluable in ensuring these regulations meet the practical needs of the industry and the expectations of our community.
During the meeting, we will also provide a brief update on the upcoming Palau Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2025-2028, which aims to align the efforts of all valued partners and stakeholders that inform decision-making for tourism and its sustainable development.
We request all tour operators to provide two representatives from their respective agencies: 1) Owner or General Manager and 2) a Senior Tour Guide or equivalent. This gathering is essential as it represents an opportunity to fortify partnerships between tour operators and governmental bodies at both state and national levels. Your participation will significantly influence our collaborative efforts to refine our tourism practices and policies.
Attached to this announcement include the following: National Tour Operators Regulations, National BOAT Regulations, Koror State Regulations on Marine Activities, and lastly, a link to a google form to collect feedback from your employees who will not be able to attend. The form will be opened on the day of the meeting to allow attendees to continue to submit their feedback as the meeting progresses. (Reminder to bring phones for survey).
**(Please email to [email protected] and we will forward the regulations if you have not received any).
Your presence is crucial, and we look forward to your contributions toward enhancing Palau’s tourism landscape. Let us work together to ensure our tourism sector remains vibrant and sustainable for years to come.
Thank you.
