Artist community for DIY musicians and sound designers We learn, together, to do more art with less. http://musichackspace.org

We celebrate quirky and different approaches to making music, re-appropriation and recycling as the purest forms of hacking, and support all forms of art that this approach generates. Hacking is a proud DIY culture that empowers individuals to embed their everyday life, knowledge and objects into artistic projects that are deeply personal. We value non-conformism, peer-learning, community, and above all, creative expression.

Meet untitled unmastered — the project that took first place in the challenge at our Boston Music Hackathon, co-hosted with 🎉

Built with the Ableton Extensions SDK, untitled unmastered gives producers a way to revive abandoned ideas. Hit a wall in Live? Right-click and upload your work-in-progress as a seed — other producers browse the Crate, pull stems into their own sessions, remix, and re-upload, with every variation tracked back to the original. Or skip straight to a live co-writing session, syncing changes in Ableton in real time.

The loop: hit a wall → upload → someone remixes it or joins live → you get reinspired → the idea compounds.

Huge congrats to .prodby and — and to every team that built something incredible over the weekend.
