SparkyLinux 8.4 is out — and 32-bit support is back.

About a year ago, Sparky dropped 32-bit ISO images when Debian discontinued them. That decision has been reversed. SparkyLinux 8.4 restores i686-pae Live/Install images as ultra-light Openbox and CLI editions — keeping older 32-bit machines running Linux.

The rest of the release is a solid quarterly package refresh on the Debian 13 "Trixie" base: KDE Plasma 6.3.6, Xfce 4.20, LXQt 2.1.0, MATE 1.26.0, kernel 6.12.101-LTS, Firefox 140.13.0esr, and more.

Already on Sparky 8? No reinstall needed — just update.
