JOB VACANCY: ACCOUNT OFFICER

Location: Iba, Lagos State
Employment Type: Full-Time

Penafort Energy Nigeria Limited is seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and highly organized Account Officer to join our team in Iba, Lagos. The ideal candidate will support the company's accounting and finance operations while ensuring accuracy in financial records, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Process and record daily financial transactions.
- Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Support monthly financial reporting and account reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Assist during audits and statutory reporting exercises.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting.
- Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
