Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction today issued a condemnation of the recent resolution passed last night by the U.S. House of Representatives, which affirms support for Israel and subsequently its war criminal apartheid regime. The resolution, which passed by a vote of 412-9, was a direct response to Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal's previous remarks rightfully characterizing the occupation state of Israel as a "racist" state, comments she, unfortunately, has since retracted under political pressure and threats.
"The U.S. House of Representatives' resolution, which affirms support for Israel's apartheid regime and war crimes against the Palestinian people, represents a deplorable demonstration of either ignorance or complicity in Israel's unlawful and violent conduct," stated Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction. "Israel's actions are in direct violation of the fundamental principles that underpin American democracy, ranging from its discriminatory religious laws to its continued occupation and colonization of Palestinian territories, which has resulted in the murder of civilians, including children. This resolution clearly indicates that the U.S. Congress is prioritizing the protection of Israel's interests over the upholding of its own publicly cherished values."
The resolution reaffirms the ill U.S.-Israel relationship. Additionally, the resolution urges the Biden administration to take measures aimed at countering attempts to delegitimize Israel's illegitimate military occupation of Palestinian territories.
"The U.S. House of Representatives' resolution is an unmistakable endeavor to silence those who dare to voice objections regarding Israel's egregious violations of human rights," asserted Diliani. "We extend our commendation to the nine Democrats who voted against this resolution, and we call upon all members of Congress to uphold the cause of Palestinian rights and hold Israel accountable for its criminal actions."

Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction Calls for International Condemnation and Urgent Action Against Israeli State Terrorism Unleashed on Jenin Refugee Camp

Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction expresses its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families affected by the recent Israeli wave of terror that has unleashed unimaginable horrors on the Jenin refugee camp. The reprehensible violent actions of the occupying forces have resulted in the loss of innocent lives, leaving thirteen Palestinians dead and over one hundred wounded, twenty of whom remain in serious condition. This tragic Israeli military offensive has further escalated the Palestinian death toll to a staggering 190 since the beginning of this year alone, with 35 innocent children dead among the victims of Israeli terrorism.

Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction's Spokesperson, Dimitri Diliani, stated that the preliminary assessments of the current physical condition of the Jenin camp following the Israeli military terrorist incursion reveal a deeply troubling picture. The Israeli occupation forces have systematically devastated approximately fifteen kilometers of vital asphalt roads, callously altering their original elevation by an average of one and a half meters. This deliberate destruction extends its malevolence to critical infrastructure, including sewage networks, rainwater filtration systems, and indispensable conduits for electricity and water supply, all of which now lie in complete annihilation.

Furthermore, Diliani added, Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction's activists in the camp have also reported partial destruction of approximately fifteen to twenty kilometers of water networks, accompanied by the impairment of a water station and its associated connection point. Adding to this grave list of infrastructural devastation, the Israeli occupation soldiers have targeted and damaged ten electrical transformers and water tanks situated atop residential buildings through shooting at them. Such acts of aggression not only disregard the sanctity of civilian life but also demonstrate a complete savage disregard for international norms and conventions.

Regrettably, the spokesperson pointed out, the cumulative effect of the relentless bombardment, shelling, and systematic demolition has rendered approximately three hundred residential homes in Jenin utterly uninhabitable. This exacerbates an already dire situation on the ground, further displacing innocent Palestinian refugee families who are now left homeless and traumatized by the ruthless actions of the invading Israeli forces.

Diliani highlighted that the distressing impact of the Israeli terrorist offensive extends beyond the residential sphere. Two facilities belonging to the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) inside the Jenin camp have suffered heavy damages, robbing the inhabitants of crucial humanitarian aid and support. These attacks on civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, raise serious concerns about deliberate violations of international humanitarian law.

Amid such appalling acts of Israeli state terrorism, Diliani added, approximately four thousand Palestinians, nearly one-third of the camp's refugee population, have been forced to flee their homes, seeking refuge from the relentless Israeli wave of terror. The dire circumstances surrounding this catastrophe necessitate immediate international attention and action to ensure the protection and well-being of the Palestinian population, as well as to hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes against humanity.

Fateh's Reformist Democratic Faction calls upon the international community to condemn this blatant Israeli terrorist aggression and take decisive measures to put an end to the violence and oppression suffered by the Palestinian people. We implore the world to stand in solidarity with the victims of the Israeli wave of terror, offering support, aid, and justice to those affected by this horrific tragedy.
