No big secret there. I've read up on dog behavior and health. More often than not, I've been trying to rescue dogs on my own for the past couple of years. Sometimes everything turns out great, others, not so much. I've created this page as a sort of archive of dogs I've rescued personally but also to help spread awareness of the huge stray/abandoned dog problem we have on the island (Puerto Rico).

People are sure to be louder than ever tonight so make sure you have a safe space inside your home for your dog. Stay with them while the fireworks are going off and reassure them with long stroking pets and a calm voice.

Still searching for Coco.
I received a phonecall today from someone claiming to have her. He tried to feed me a story about him following someone who had her, took her collar off and replaced it with a different collar. It was highly suspect.
I asked for a photo and when he finally sent it I immediately knew it wasn't Coco. I had seen that dog before. She had been recently abandoned in a terrible neighborhood. I don't know what his plan was or what he will do with the dog now.
In all likelihood, he will either abandon the dog where he found her or kill her.
This is what people here do with dogs. They use them for their own selfish gain and dispose of them when they are no longer useful.

Muchas han sido desplazadas por el huracán María en P.R. Sin embargo, no debe haber pánico. La floración ya se ve renaciendo y los las estamos rescatando. Si observa que alguna colonia se estableció en algún lugar no apropiado, NO las mate. Llámenos, para relocalizarlas. Las necesitamos para la agricultura. Confie en nuestros expertos.
