Yesterday, I entered the Armies on Parade competition at my local Games Workshop. The standard was very high this year, so I'm even more thrilled that I managed to take 3rd place in the diorama category.
I love events like this where I have the opportunity to meet up with friends and exchange experiences.
It was great to meet , who received silver, and , the winner, whose work really impressed me.
I'll have to try even harder next year :)

So far, I have presented the details of the diorama that I submitted to the online competition Armies on Parade 2025. Today, I would like to present the entire army. Inspiration for creating this scene came to me from one of the graphics I found on the internet. I wanted the entire atmosphere to be maintained in dark and ominous colors. The red mist suggests that it is infused with blood. The gate through which the army passes is the border of a dark realm inhabited by Vampires, skeletons, zombies, and other terrifying creatures. The overall effect is enhanced by LED lights. They illuminate the mist behind the gate, giving it an additional dark and mystical atmosphere. Behind the Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed, in the light of dark forces, the shadow of an emerging figure can be seen. This is Prince Vhordrai Lord on Crimson Keep and his hordes of undead.

The dark Amia set out to satisfy the bloodthirst of her masters.Another installment of the diorama submitted to the Armies on Parade 2025 contest. I am quite pleased with painting the Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed. To paint this figure, I used the same color scheme as the rest of the army, which makes the whole piece look cohesive.

Undead hounds emerged from the heart of darkness. Enshrouded in mists with the sweet scent of blood, they set out to hunt.
The hunt is about to begin.
Here are some pictures of zombie wolves from my diorama, which I submitted to the online contest Armies on Parade 2025.
I tried to paint them differently than usual, as you might see. I hope I managed to achieve a good effect of decay and decomposition. I must admit, I was very surprised by the amount of detail hidden in these models. I loved the diversity between units in a squad, and here we have 10 completely different models. For me, that's awesome. I had a great time painting these little dogs :)

I am sharing a few photos of skeletons from the work I submitted this year to the Armies on Parade online competition. In this post, I focused on the skeletons. In the upcoming posts, there will be wolves, a lord, and finally the entire diorama. I hope these few photos will pique your interest enough to follow the next posts.

I thought painting skeletons would be easy. I was very wrong. I spent dozens of hours on this regiment, and I still have another dozen to finish.

Preparations for Armies on Parade 2025 have begun. Initially, I envisioned a very ambitious project with many miniatures in a diorama. Unfortunately, I won't be able to complete it this year, so there's been a change of plans. It will still be a diorama, but a smaller one. In this project, I want to create the atmosphere of the dark, terrifying lands of Vampires.
I started with the skeletons, wanting the armor to be covered with patina. To achieve the effect I like, I first paint the armor without the patina. Then I paint the corrosion, and finally I add reflections in the armor's colors to imitate worn metal surfaces. This takes longer, but I hope you like the result.

Another of my old works. SM Terminator was modified and painted by me for one of the competitions almost 15 years ago. If I remember correctly, I won a bronze medal with this work :)
Looking at the level of painting today, I realize that the level of painting used to be much lower.

This year I prepared a few works for . One of them was a 75 mm scale elf archer figure from Andrea Miniature.
I bought the figure a long time ago. Over 10 years ago I made a base for it in a forest style. However, I put the project aside for many years because I didn't feel that I wouldn't be able to paint it to a level that would satisfy me. The competition motivated me to finish this project.
I improved the base, added a few elements of fauna and flora and painted the figure. It was my first figure in such a scale. To tell you the truth, I struggled terribly with it. I repainted some elements many times. The most difficult part for me turned out to be painting the body.
At one point I even wanted to leave this project again.
I finally managed to finish this figure and present it at the competition. Unfortunately without success, but at least I have it painted :)
