KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF MULTAN of Multan AVENUE

■ from sayyadan wala chowk to sahu chowk — the total length will be 9 kilometers.

■ yhe project will cost Rs. 2.80 billion.

■ the project will be completed within a period of 4 months.

■ to make the central median dust-free, the restoration and beautification of the green belt will be ensured.

■ due to inadequate lighting on the central median, 260 new streetlights will be installed, enhancing both the beauty and security of the highway.

■ the existing dual carriageway will be upgraded into a three-lane wide highway as per modern standards improving the overall traffic flow.

■ a modern storm water drainage system will be constructed to manage the flow of rainwater and floodwater thereby ensuring the durability of the road.

■ for public convenience and to distribute traffic load, 16-feet-wide service roads will be constructed on both sides of the highway allowing local traffic to move separately from the main carriageway.

✅ KEY FEATURES OF of GREEN PARKWAYS

■ the 14-feet-wide strip located between the storm water drain and service road on both sides of the dual carriageway (length 9 k. each side ) will be transformed into GREEN PARKWAYS. as this is a two-way road, approximately 18 kilometers of passages, each 14 feet wide, will be converted into GREEN PARKWAYS.

■ on the right side of the road, from SAYYADAN WALA CHOWK to SAHU CHOWK, 18 parking sections will be constructed intermittently over a total stretch of 5.50 kilometers, providing parking capacity for about 830 vehicles. on the left side from SAHU CHOWK to SAYYADAN WALA CHOWK, 16 parking sections will be developed over a 4.45-kilometer stretch, accommodating an additional 760 vehicles.

■ alongside the parking bays on both sides of the road, green belts will also be developed. the total length of these green belts will be 4.50 kilometers on the right side and 4.15 kilometers on the left side which will be secured with protective iron grills.

■ these green belts will not be of uniform design; rather they will be developed according to the specific location and requirements, incorporating both civic amenities and environmental enhancements. facilities such as benches, walking tracks, open gyms, suitable plantation, and landscaping will be included, making these green corridors not only eco-friendly but also centers of relaxation, health, and recreation for citizens.

■ with the construction of these Green Parking Ways, people will not only have designated areas for parking but also spaces for recreation along both sides of this dual carriageway. as a result, there will be no need to park vehicles on the service roads.

■ all these components make this project not merely a construction endeavor but a practical model of URBAN REGENERATION.
