The summary in short is to do whatever it takes to stay in power whether it be lying, cheating, betraying or killing.

But the stranger thing is that they don’t even tell you what crime you’ve committed, and you have to prove your innocence against a crime you don't even know about. And that is how the novel goes on............

Irrational Bureaucracy
The author strongly criticizes state institutions, the dark legal system of the courts, and the role of high officials who are inaccessible but have a huge impact on the life of a common man.

Absurdity of life
Besides this, Kafka also highlights the absurdity of life, in which individuals are powerless and have no control over events.

In the end, I would say Kafka’s world is dark, and you feel a sense of uneasiness when reading his work.
