کراچی کے ضلع وسطی میں پورشن سازی پر واضح پابندی کے باوجود سمن آباد بلاک 17 کے پلاٹ نمبر R-211 اور R-221 پر مبینہ طور پر غیر قانونی تعمیراتی کام بدستور جاری ہے۔ علاقہ مکینوں کے مطابق تعمیرات دن رات جاری ہیں جبکہ متعلقہ ادارے خاموش تماشائی بنے ہوئے ہیں۔

رہائشیوں کا کہنا ہے کہ وہ متعدد بار تحریری شکایات جمع کرا چکے ہیں، مگر تاحال کوئی عملی اقدام نہیں اٹھایا گیا۔ شہریوں نے اعلیٰ حکام سے فوری نوٹس لینے، تعمیرات رکوانے اور ذمہ داران کے خلاف سخت قانونی کارروائی کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔

سوال یہ ہے کہ جب قانون واضح ہے تو خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں کے خلاف ایکشن کیوں نہیں؟ شہریوں کا مطالبہ ہے کہ فوری طور پر غیر قانونی تعمیرات کو روکا جائے اور ذمہ داران کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق کارروائی کی جائے۔
