Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, has expressed his belief that governments worldwide will prioritize the development of artificial intelligence (AI) for military purposes.
Speaking at the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit, Musk predicted an AI arms race between advanced nations, leading to what he referred to as “drone wars” as civilization faces potential collapse.
He highlighted the potential dangers of super-intelligent AI and its capacity to outpace human capabilities on the battlefield.
“Any future wars between advanced countries or at least countries with drone capability will be very much the drone wars,” he added.
