It’s that time of the year again 🌼
As the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan begins to soften, we’re bringing our honeybee farms back home 🐝

Every winter, due to the harsh cold, we carefully shift our honeybees to Punjab where the weather is gentler and safer for them. And every spring, once Gilgit-Baltistan welcomes warmth again, we take on the challenging journey back across bumpy, mountainous roads and sometimes blocked routes all to bring you pure, authentic honey from our homeland 🍯

This seasonal migration is part of our process, our passion, and our promise.
We’re excited to welcome the bees back and soon share the taste of Gilgit-Baltistan with you.

In the mountain valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, AKRSP has supported hundreds of rural households, especially women and youth, to adopt apiculture as a source of income. Through training, provision of bee boxes, and market access, communities are now producing pure, high-altitude honey while also contributing to pollination and biodiversity.

Bees are more than honey producers—they are key to food security, ecological balance, and climate resilience.
