Addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day EnergyWise2025, Director Environmental Protection Agency Khadim Hussain commended the awareness raising AKDN’s agencies and its partners are implementing through such exposure shows. Exhibiting practices which lead to green architecture, to conserve energy and efficiently using it. He further thanked European Union for brining Energy Plus project implemented by AKDN and its agencies.

Dignitaries from local government, educational institutions along with the participating exhibitors of the EnergyWise2025 gathered to reflect and say farewell to this year’s exhibition.
The two day’s EnergyWise2025 connected incredible minds, showcased ground breaking initiatives, and celebrated the spirit of collaboration that drives progress. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication, creativity, and teamwork of our amazing hosts, partners, and participants.

Dune Escape: A Luxury Off-Grid Desert Resort
This project was inspired by the client’s vision to create a desert resort that offers both seclusion and luxury—a true escape into nature. Surrounded by vast sand dunes, the resort was designed to serve as a tranquil retreat for travelers seeking a unique off-grid experience.

The concept focused on fluidity and organic movement, drawing inspiration from Zaha Hadid Architects’ design of the MAXXI Museum. The client aimed for a layout that blended architecture seamlessly with the desert landscape, creating a sense of flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

I handled the entire design process—from site analysis and conceptual development to architectural drawings, Revit modeling, rendering, and final presentation sheets for the thesis submission. One of the main challenges was designing structures that felt modern yet respected the remote, natural context. Balancing sustainable design principles with luxurious amenities like private pools required thoughtful planning and careful detailing.

The result is a desert resort concept that celebrates stillness, connection to the earth, and the awe of the clear night sky. It was a pleasure to bring this visionary project to life.

Just completed the design of a unique house for my overseas client.
I blended traditional and contemporary stonework with modern planning, creating a timeless aesthetic. 🏡

🪟 Designed slab openings (punctures) so trees grow beautifully through the structure
