Sirbaz Khan to attempt 9th 8000m, Mt Dhaulagiri, as part of Mission Summit 14

The young climber has announced to attempt the seventh highest mountain in the world Mt Dhaulagiri(8,167m) in Nepal.

Sirbaz becomes the first Pakistani to attempt 9×8000m peaks. He also becomes the first Pakistani to attempt Mt Dhaulagiri(8,167m).

Hailing from Aliabad Hunza, Sirbaz has already climbed K2, Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, Lhotse, Manaslu, Mount Annapurna, Everest, Gashabrum I and Gashabrum II.

In a statement, Sirbaz has said: “Mission Summit 14 is not purely about getting in the record books anymore, it’s about the pride of my country. Most importantly, it is about earning respect and honour for the extraordinary yet unsung Mountaineering community of Pakistan. When I climb on these mountains where no Pakistani has ever climbed before me, it is not just me climbing alone, it’s Pakistan climbing with me. Each time I raise the green flag on a mountain, that piece of cloth claps in the name of respect and honour deserved by great Pakistani Mountaineers – all those who came before me and those who will come after.

This mission is about inspiring people to strive for greatness and become the best version of themselves. It is about our contribution to this nation and to the entire human race."

Team high altitude festival from hunza reached concordia to celebrate the mountaineering sprit of Muhammad ali sadpara and all other lost souls who have lost their life for a cause.

The first ever high altitude music festival is going to happen on K2 base camp, where many different artists from Gilgit Baltistan will show their skills live from base camp.

Today they spent a day with porters and played live music for the bloodline of baltoro. Tomorrow the team will move to k2 basecamp and will do a music session with famous mountaineer Samina Baig.

K2 Treks and Tours has reported on its page that a rope fixing team has found the dead body of Muhammad Ali Sadpara, renowned mountaineer who had gone missing during a winter K2 expedition.

The body was reportedly found by the fixing team of “Madison Mountaineering/Mashabrum Expeditions Treks and Tours” 300 meters below the “bottle neck”.

This was Sir Baz’s 8th 8000 meter summit.

"Last month on April 16, Sirbaz along with Mohammad Abdul Joshi became the first Pakistanis to summit Annapurna (8,091m) and dedicated his summit to the memory of late Mohammad Ali Sadpara. In 2019, Sirbaz became the first Pakistani to summit Mount Lhotse, the world’s fourth-highest mountain at 8,516m in Nepal without the use of supplementary oxygen. His other 8,000m successes include K2, Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, and Manaslu."

"Sajid Sadpara became the youngest person to summit K2. This year, the 22-year-old dreamed of becoming the youngest to step on his country’s highest mountain in winter. Instead, he survived a traumatic solitary descent of the mountain, after leaving his father behind."

The trials for the composition of the U19 and senior sides of the City Cricket Associations will be held in Central Punjab, Southern Punjab and those areas of Northern Cricket Association.
