Markhor Moment. 🏔️
A man is seen capturing a baby markhor somewhere in Northern Areas (14 Jan 2021). This video was taken from a Facebook profile named Ta Haa.
It's a clear crime. He would be under penalty if this video is presented to the WL Department for action under Wildlife rules. Wildlife belongs to nature, not to human hands. Such acts must be reported and discouraged.

Brambling (Fringilla montifringilla)
Urdu: نارنجی چھاتی والی فنچ
The Brambling is a beautiful migratory finch that visits northern Pakistan during winter, especially mountainous regions like Chitral. Recognized by its warm orange breast, contrasting black-and-white wings, and soft brown back, this species often appears in small flocks, quietly feeding on seeds and insects.
These birds prefer cold environments, forest edges, and open valleys, and are frequently seen resting on bare branches or snowy shrubs. Their seasonal arrival adds life and color to Chitral’s winter landscapes, making them a subtle yet important part of the region’s high-altitude ecosystem.
Although not considered rare, Bramblings are a wonderful reminder of nature’s migration cycles and the rich biodiversity of our mountain valleys.

🕊️ Alpine Accentor
The Alpine Accentor is commonly found across the mountainous regions of Chitral. It usually stays around rocky slopes and snowy landscapes, quietly searching for insects and seeds.
Although this species is not rare in these areas, it remains a natural part of Chitral’s high-altitude ecosystem and adds to the region’s rich wildlife diversity.

On 18 January 2026, in the rugged mountains of Village Koghuzi, District Chitral (Lower), we witnessed a quiet moment of life in the wild.
A young male Markhor moved gracefully across the rocky slopes, feeding on wild mountain herbs and climbing trees with remarkable balance. Later, a baby Markhor gently joined him, offering a rare and peaceful glimpse into their natural world.
Male Markhors are rarely alone and are often found within a herd. That day, we observed only this male with the young one, while the rest of the group seemed to remain beyond the ridge.
These are some of the finest moments we were able to capture, a small story from the mountains of Chitral where nature still breathes freely.

Captured deep in Golain Valley, nestled within the mountains of Lower Chitral, these rare moments featured Chukar Partridges, the national bird of Pakistan.
Usually seen walking quietly on the ground, spotting them perched on wild trees was something truly special. It felt like they were having their own little conversation among the branches, a reminder of how nature always has surprises waiting for those who explore patiently.
From rugged peaks to silent valleys, wildlife here continues to inspire every journey.

Chasing Chakor in the mountains of Golain ❄️📸
I’ve always known Chakor as ground birds, so seeing them resting on wild trees was completely unexpected. Moments like these remind me how unpredictable nature can be. Grateful to capture something different this time.
Thanks for watching.
Nature therapy. Wait for it…
Located in Golain Valley (Izghor), Golain Trout Fish Farm is home to hundreds of healthy brown trout, raised in pure mountain waters.
Fresh trout eggs were carefully collected by the owner, Ahtiram Ul Haq, and transferred to a separate breeding area, ensuring sustainable growth and quality farming.
Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, this farm reflects dedication, nature, and responsible aquaculture at its finest.
