سورة الأحزاب

مَا کَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ اَبَاۤ اَحَدٍ مِّنۡ رِّجَالِکُمۡ وَ لٰکِنۡ رَّسُوۡلَ اللّٰہِ وَ خَاتَمَ النَّبِیّٖنَ ؕ وَ کَانَ اللّٰہُ بِکُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیۡمًا ﴿۴۰﴾

۔ ( مسلمانو ! ) محمد ( صلی۔اللہ۔علیہ۔وآلہ۔وسلم ) تم مردوں میں سے کسی کے باپ نہیں ہیں ، لیکن وہ اللہ کے رسول ہیں ، اور تمام نبیوں میں سب سے آخری نبی ہیں ۔ ( ٣٥ ) اور اللہ ہر بات کو خوب جاننے والا ہے ۔

What is a Stye?
A stye, also known as a hordeolum, is a painful red bump that forms on the edge of the eyelid. It is caused by a bacterial infection, usually involving the oil glands of the eyelid.

Causes:

Bacterial Infection: Most commonly, styes are caused by Staphylococcus bacteria.
Blocked Oil Glands: When the oil glands at the base of the eyelashes get clogged, bacteria can grow and cause an infection.
Touching Eyes with Dirty Hands: Transferring bacteria from hands to eyes can lead to infections.
Poor Eyelid Hygiene: Not cleaning off makeup properly or using old cosmetics can increase the risk.

Symptoms:
Pain and Tenderness: A stye usually starts with tenderness, redness, and pain in the affected area.
Swelling: The area around the stye may become swollen and inflamed.
Red Bump: A small, red, pus-filled bump appears on the edge of the eyelid.
Tearing: Increased tearing or watery eyes.
Crusting: The eyelid might develop a crust around the edges.

Treatment:
Warm Compresses: Apply a warm, moist compress to the affected area for 10-15 minutes, several times a day. This can help the stye to drain naturally.
Avoid Squeezing: Do not try to squeeze or pop the stye, as this can spread the infection.
Good Hygiene: Maintain proper eyelid hygiene by gently washing the area with mild soap and water.
Antibiotic Ointments: Over-the-counter antibiotic ointments may help, but consult a healthcare provider if unsure.
Pain Relief: Over-the-counter pain relievers can help reduce discomfort.
Medical Treatment: If the stye persists or worsens, a doctor may need to drain it or prescribe antibiotics.

Prevention:
Hand Hygiene: Regularly wash hands and avoid touching your face and eyes.
Cosmetic Hygiene: Replace eye makeup every few months and remove it before sleeping.
Contact Lenses: Follow proper contact lens hygiene to prevent infections.
