A gentle reminder that tomorrow, May 18, is the last day of voter registration for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
In a time when political issues and public concerns continue to surround our country, it is important to stay informed and make your voice count through responsible voting. The Filipino people and the Philippines deserve good governance.
We must remember that we are the ones who put leaders into power, and we are also the ones who can shape the future direction of our nation through informed participation and wise choicesโand change starts when we exercise our vote in the local elections.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reminds the public that registration is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, including holidays, at Offices of the Election Officer and selected satellite registration sites nationwide.

University of Antique conducts Fire and Earthquake Drill on March 30, 2026. Students, faculty members, and staff participated in the drill, practicing the essential "duck, cover, and hold" procedures.
As the sirens wailed, CCIS participants proceeded to the UA Oval, followed by a gathering at the TiripUnAn Hall.
The drill was part of the university's emergency preparedness efforts, conducted in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and Philippine National Police (PNP).
Additionally, Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, the university's OIC-President, took a moment in the program to emphasize the importance of taking disasters seriously, highlighting the significance of such drills in ensuring everyone's safety in the campus.

Faculty members from the University of Antique (UA) successfully completed the Wadhwani Foundationโs WEN Ignite Faculty Development Program, earning recognition as certified Entrepreneurship Mentors on March 19, 2026. The initiative is part of a nationwide effort that produced 89 new mentors, equipping educators with the tools to guide students in innovation, startup development, and technopreneurship.
Conducted online on March 2โ3, 2026, the training introduced participants to the WEN Ignite Digital Platform and covered key modules such as problem identification, customer validation, solution generation, and competition mapping. The program aimed to strengthen faculty capabilities in integrating entrepreneurship and innovation into instruction, aligned with the universityโs commitment to relevant and responsive education.
Representing UA in the program were Ms. Juvelyn Samillano, Ms. Irish P. Macuja, Ms. Jacquilyn M. Llera, Ms. Jesie Mae A. Apostol, Mr. John Jowil D. Orquia, Mrs. Vicky Nicor Barbaza, Ms. Jay Anne C. Labaro, Ms. Arianne Mae A. Gallardo, and Ms. Mary Cris Y. Barion. Their participation highlights UAโs continued efforts to build a strong innovation ecosystem through faculty development and strategic partnerships with organizations like the Wadhwani Foundation.
