On June 6, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) attended the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly of Barangay Tibolo to monitor and support youth governance initiatives within the community.

The assembly served as an avenue for young people to actively participate in discussions concerning programs, projects, and activities for the youth sector. A highlight of the activity was the conduct of the Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) Election, where dedicated young leaders were chosen to represent and strengthen youth participation in local governance.

LYDO commends the youth of Barangay Tibolo for their active involvement and commitment to building a more empowered, engaged, and inclusive community. Through activities such as the KK Assembly and BYDC Election, young people are given the opportunity to make their voices heard and contribute to the development of their barangay.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) successfully visited different barangays from 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟐–𝟐𝟒 to attend and observe the conduct of the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly, presentation of the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP), and Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) Election in 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐈, 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐈, 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐈𝐈, 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐧.

The KK Assembly is more than just a gathering — it is a vital platform where young people are informed of the programs, accomplishments, financial reports, and future plans of their Sangguniang Kabataan. It allows the youth to become active participants in community development, encourages transparency, and strengthens collaboration between SK officials and KK members.

LYDO proudly supports initiatives that promote youth engagement and leadership. We encourage every KK member to actively participate in these assemblies because informed and involved youth create stronger and more progressive barangays.
