βœ… Ans: Width = 5m, Length = 10m

How do we get the answer? πŸ€”

Let width = x, length = x + 5

x(x + 5) = 50
x^2 + 5x - 50 = 0

therefore, solving the quadratic equation gives: x = 5

πŸ“š Answer of the Week! πŸ“š

What is the exponential form of 2048 and 512?

Solution:
We repeatedly divide each number by 2 and count how many times until we reach 1.

For 2048:
2048 Γ· 2 = 1024 (1st)
1024 Γ· 2 = 512 (2nd)
512 Γ· 2 = 256 (3rd)
256 Γ· 2 = 128 (4th)
128 Γ· 2 = 64 (5th)
64 Γ· 2 = 32 (6th)
32 Γ· 2 = 16 (7th)
16 Γ· 2 = 8 (8th)
8 Γ· 2 = 4 (9th)
4 Γ· 2 = 2 (10th)
2 Γ· 2 = 1 (11th)

So, 2048 = 2ΒΉΒΉ

For 512:
512 Γ· 2 = 256 (1st)
256 Γ· 2 = 128 (2nd)
128 Γ· 2 = 64 (3rd)
64 Γ· 2 = 32 (4th)
32 Γ· 2 = 16 (5th)
16 Γ· 2 = 8 (6th)
8 Γ· 2 = 4 (7th)
4 Γ· 2 = 2 (8th)
2 Γ· 2 = 1 (9th)

So, 512 = 2⁹

✨ Final Answer:
2048 = 2¹¹ and 512 = 2⁹
