Last Monday, August 10, ICpEP.SE proudly joined Samar State University (SSU) and the rest of the nation in the ASEAN Month 2026 Kick-Off Ceremony and Simultaneous Flag Raising. As future tech innovators, we stand united with the SSU community in reaffirming our commitment to regional solidarity, inclusivity, and shared progress.

Following the morning kick-off, our members headed to the SSU Convention Center for the Faculty and Student-Led ASEAN Talks. We gained incredible insights and exchanged diverse perspectives during the discussions led by Ms. Baroga and Dr. Mustacisa. The event was beautifully capped off with an Open Forum and a fantastic cultural presentation by the Rondalla Ensemble!

As computer engineering students, we recognize the vital role of education and collaboration in strengthening ties among ASEAN nations. Through meaningful conversations and cultural exchange, the activities truly deepened our appreciation for ASEAN unity and our shared aspirations.

Today, the ICpEP.SE proudly joins the entire SSU family in celebrating over two decades of unwavering commitment to excellence in instruction, research, and innovation!

Guided by this year's theme, "𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻: 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿-𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻," we are reminded of our vital role as future engineers. As CpE students, we are at the forefront of this mission—coding future-ready software, designing resilient hardware, and engineering tech-driven solutions that empower our communities and connect Samar to the global digital landscape.

As we commemorate this massive milestone, we honor the brilliant minds of our administrators, our dedicated CpE faculty and staff, our alumni, and every engineering student whose late-night debugging and relentless pursuit of knowledge continue to shape the University's remarkable journey.

We are proud to announce the successful turnover of ICpEP.SE leadership, held at the COENG Dean's Office, with Engr. H**e C. Uy, Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Liezel L. Tugado, and Engr. Fernando S. Macabare III witnessing the event. The turnover was led by our dedicated outgoing President, Arianne A. Sabuco. We extend our deepest gratitude to all our outgoing officers and warmly welcome the new team as they take the helm for the year ahead.

With the guidance of our new President, Darleen Ishay Q. Nuevo, and the support of the entire executive board, we look forward to another year of growth and innovation!

We are thrilled to share that the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition (ICpEP.SE) officially opened Academic Year 2026-2027 with our General Orientation and Election of Officers held last August 3, 2026 at the SSU 3rd floor Convention Center.

The event was made possible through the efforts of our dedicated outgoing officers led by President Arianne Sabuco, together with the support and guidance of our advisers, Engr. Maynard R. Dalemit (Head Adviser, ICpEP.SE) and Engr. Maricris M. Ediza (Program Coordinator BSCpE).
