Patuloy na nagtala ng positibong paglago ang industriya ng paggatasan sa Pilipinas sa unang kwarter ng 2026, ayon sa datos na inilabas ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Batay sa datos ng PSA, lumago ng 6.5 porsiyento ang halaga ng produksiyon ng gatas sa constant 2018 prices sa unang kwarter ng 2026, mas mataas kumpara sa 5.1 porsiyentong paglago na naitala sa kaparehong panahon noong 2025.

- Dairy output grows 6% to 11.8 million liters in Q1 by Manila Bulletin

The country’s dairy production rose by six percent year-on-year to nearly 11.8 million liters in the first quarter, keeping the sector on track for a record year driven by stronger farm productivity.

The latest Philippine Statistics Authority data (PSA) showed that domestic dairy output from January to March increased to 11.79 million liters from 11.07 million liters in the same period last year.

The value of dairy production, measured at constant 2018 prices, likewise rose by six percent to ₱449 million during the three-month period from ₱422 million a year ago.

FEEDING FOR HEALTH, GROWTH, AND PRODUCTION

Five days of intensive training at UPLB Dairy Training and Research Institute provided both a strong refresher of existing knowledge and exposure to innovative feeding technologies. Looking forward to applying these learnings to improve milk production and strengthen dairy farm operations.

Mas kilala sa tawag na artificial insemination, ito ay isang paraan ng pagpapalahi ng hayop tulad ng kalabaw na isinasagawa ng sinanay na technician. Sa paraang ito, ang semilya ay inilalagay sa bungad ng matres ng kalabaw gamit ang AI gun at hindi sa tulong ng bulugan. Layunin nitong maparami ang mga kalabaw na may magagandang katangian.
