After four intense yet rewarding days of competition at the Raul Roco Cup XVIII, debaters and adjudicators convened at the Alingal Multipurpose Hall of Ateneo de Naga University for the much-anticipated awarding ceremony, where participants finally took the stage to be recognized for their dedication and hard work.

The ceremony honored all participants and formally crowned the champions across the Quince Martires Cup, High School, and Open categories. Outstanding performances were further recognized through Best Speaker and Best Judge awards in each division. Capping the night, UPD gabbivape ratacig and kylecr emerged as champions of the Quince Martires Cup Finals, NCSHS BC claimed the High School Finals title, and ADNU BC secured victory in the Open Grand Final.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟰 | Raul Roco Cup XVIII: Debate Eclipse

The final day of the Raul Roco Cup XVIII concluded on January 11, 2025, ultimately shaping the fate of the debaters and adjudicators who took part in this year’s tournament. The morning opened with the pre-semifinal rounds, rigorously testing the remaining teams. Many fell under the pressure, while those who endured earned their place in the Grand Finals.

As the day progressed, the long-awaited awarding ceremonies for each category finally took place. The championship was held at the Alingal Multipurpose Hall, where the atmosphere was thick with tension and anticipation. One by one, team names and individuals were called to the stage, recognized as Best Speakers and Best Judges, culminating in the crowning of the tournament’s champions, marking the dramatic close of Raul Roco Cup XVIII.
