At 24, Jaden Ivey Announces Heās Retiring from the NBA to Become a Pastor.
It started when he went live on Instagram, sharing strong religious views and comments about LGBTQ issues. The backlash was immediate, and soon after, he was reportedly waived by the Chicago Bullsāputting his NBA career in doubt.
But instead of trying to return to basketball, Ivey chose a different path.
He was later seen preaching on the streets, speaking boldly about his faith with no cameras, no crowdājust conviction.
Then came the biggest surprise:
At just 24, Jaden Ivey announced heās stepping away from professional basketball to become a pastor, saying God called him to serve full-time.
From rising NBA talent to street preacher, his life has completely changed.
