The Philippine archipelago is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire, and within the Western Pacific Typhoon Belt, making the country highly vulnerable to frequent earthquakes and myriad powerful Typhoons—𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 “𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬”

This is why 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 plays a vital role in strengthening preparedness, minimizing the risk and damages, and protecting the lives.

Kidding aside— 𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒈𝒔 𝒐𝒓 “𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒈𝒔” are substances which have a high potential for abuse. It became a multidimensional problem —affecting 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑠, 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑠, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘.

A recent study found that one in a seven Filipino adolescent were engaged in illegal drugs. Meanwhile, over 41.96% of reported drug users began between the ages of 15 and 19 years old.

According to research, people use drugs for many complex reasons, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Are their problems solved?? “𝘽𝒊𝙜 𝙉𝑶!”

What they don’t realize— comfort from using illegal drugs is only temporary. Drugs don’t erase pain but it will only destroy you and worse your 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 also.

Instead of being addicted to it due to complex problems, go out and feel the outside world then find the answers you’re looking for. 𝐾𝘯𝑜𝘸 𝘸ℎ𝘢𝑡 𝑖𝘴 𝘳𝑖𝘨ℎ𝘵 𝘢𝑛𝘥 𝘭𝑒𝘢𝑟𝘯 𝘵𝑜 𝑠𝘢𝑦 𝑁𝘖.

More than that, the qualities flowing through our veins are resilience, patriotism, compassion, optimism, faith, and the spirit of helping each other in need—“𝑩𝑨𝒀𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑯𝑨𝑵”, building a strong foundation of strength, enabling us to face adversities from typhoons, earthquakes, and even corruption— with courage and unity.
