We went to Laufey concert!!! Still. Feels. Surreal.🥰🤭

I discovered Laufey 2 years ago through my teenager son. "From The Start" was the first song I ever liked. As a glee club girlie, I got hooked by her vocals (jazzy, classical), her relatable lyrics, her depth in classical music, her multi-instrument musical intellect, and her overall style. I know lyrics to almost all her songs from her first album to her latest.

My favorite of all is "Letter To My 13 Year Old Self" because it spoke to my younger self. I wasn't able to take a video of her encore performance of this song because I was already crying. And I still cry whenever I hear this song. I'm listening to it as I type this and I'm currently crying. It's therapy for me and it's healing the younger me who had always felt ugly, left out, disliked, and different.

This concert is actually a surprise gift to my son, a mom-dad-date. But as I reflect, it's actually a gift for me and the little girl me, the younger Louise.

Thank you for your gift to me, my son, and many of your Filipino fans whom you've touched in many ways than one.

I'm still on a Laufey concert high, my son is too. It's like a dream!
