A new learning adventure has begun to unfold for Arkibo Uno as they marked the official start of their 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Bringing their supplies of knowledge and skills, BLIS 4-1 students set out for various destinations, aiming to cross the bridge between theory and practice.

In this educational voyage, students were welcomed by selected public and special libraries, including the Manila City Library, the Supreme Court of the Philippines, the Asian Institute of Management, the University of Asia and the Pacific, the National Library of the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the National Council on Disability Affairs, and the House of Representatives of the Philippines. Students will engage in a hundred-hour immersive and formative hands-on experience at these locations.

This marks another significant milestone for the BLIS 4-1 students. As they embark on this quest, they will surely face everything that comes their way with eagerness to learn and hopes of making meaningful contributions to the field. 🗺️🔍

BLIS 4-1 pressed continue on another journey with challenges, lessons, and growth. It wasn’t easy—sleepless nights, struggles, perseverance, and teamwork carried the day. But, every moment earned experience points, and every effort built character. Today, the achievement screen pops and success is officially unlocked! 💚

Here’s to the students who pressed forward, played smart, and refused to quit—congratulations! This achievement stands as a testament to your dedication, hard work, and unity. BLIS 4-1, you’ve earned this victory!

Arkibo Uno joyfully celebrated another holiday as they joined this year’s PUP BLIS Year-End Fellowship Program entitled “𝘼 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧-𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘼 𝘽𝙇𝙄𝙎𝙨: 𝙐𝙣-𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥” last December 19.

The attendees shared a day filled with chaos and laughter as they participated in various activities prepared for the special occasion. Special thanks to 𝘈𝘭𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘺𝘰𝘵, 𝘌𝘳𝘢 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘻, 𝘎𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘰, and 𝘑𝘩𝘰𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘓𝘦𝘪 𝘎𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘻 for their spirited participation in the games and for demonstrating the distinctive charm of BLIS 4-1.

The excitement grew as they celebrated their fourth AVP Competition championship with their presentation titled “𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨: 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘥𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘸 𝘴𝘢 𝘛𝘢𝘰𝘯𝘨 2030”. This marks the first time that a block has won the competition for four consecutive years, creating a historic legacy for BLIS 4-1.

Fortune also smiled upon 𝘈𝘭𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘺𝘰𝘵, 𝘌𝘳𝘢 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘻, and 𝘎𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘰 during the event, as each of them luckily won exciting raffle prizes.

BLIS 4-1 Off-Campus OJT Deployment COMPLETE!

After weeks of exploration, skill-building, and dedication, the PUP BLIS 4-1 have officially completed their 100/150-hours Off-Campus On-the-Job Training (OJT), marking a meaningful milestone that highlights their hard work, growth, and passion for librarianship and service. Much like progressing through levels in a game, every task accomplished, every challenge overcome, and every skill unlocked has shaped them into more confident and capable future information professionals.

This journey would not have been possible without the support of the off-campus partner institutions who generously opened their doors, shared their expertise, and provided real-world learning opportunities.
To Adamson University, Ateneo de Manila University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Miriam College Grade School, Saint Vincent School of Theology, Taguig City University, and University of Asia and the Pacific, our heartfelt gratitude for being part of their learning quests. Your mentorship enriched their skills, broadened their perspectives, and empowered them to face future levels with confidence and purpose.

The PUP BLIS 4-1 interns have shown remarkable dedication in embracing every responsibility. Their commitment reflects not only perseverance but also the heart of future librarians ready to uphold service, integrity, and lifelong learning.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines LIS community, including preservice librarians from BLIS 4-1, joined the opening ceremony of the 35th Library and Information Services Month (LISM) at the Metropolitan Theater last Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Carrying the theme “𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗨𝗣: 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 – 𝗔 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽”, this year’s month-long celebration aims to highlight the critical role of libraries as centers where diversity and unity collides.
