This is it! The E-Tagging Project was jumpstarted with a week-long soft implementation at 15th Avenue Cubao to monitor PUJs under Lagro Cubao Operators and Drivers Association (LACODA) plying the Lagro-Cubao route. More than 200 vehicles were tagged for the said soft implementation.

With the help of AGM Carlos and Dir Mila Silvestre, two separate groups of enforcers gathered for training on the E-Tagging Project and the use of the RFID E-Tag handheld reader.

On November 8, 2012, the E-Tagging Project was formally launched pursuant to the MMDA MC No 10 Series of 2012 at the MMDA Office together with transport groups who pushed for its implementation.

Metro Manila Council Resolution No 12-03 Series of 2013, was signed by all mayors in the National Capital Region to adapt the use of modern technology to apprehend erring PUVs.

On July 27, 2012, LTFRB and MMDA signed a Joint Statement of Cooperation in weeding out out-of-line and illegal franchises.
